Today you can check out my guest blog for Creative Women’s Circle. Tess McCabe, who is the force behind it all, runs a fantastic blog promoting creative ladies and other general goodness. CWC also puts on events with interesting speakers. I have been to several and I just loved them. It is always inspiring hearing from creative ladies how they have done it!

Tess has invited some guest bloggers once a month to blog about an area of interest. My blogs will be about exhibitions by female artists! To kick it off, I chose two shows which are both centred around nature; Ranjani Shettar’s Dewdrops and Sunshine at NGV International and Pipilotti Rist’s I Packed the Postcard in My Suitcase at ACCA. Both are worth a visit!

To read about the exhibitions head over to the CWC. If anyone has any suggestions of interesting exhibitions coming up by female artists that I could review, please let me know!

Our friends, Sunni and James tied the knot. The wedding was made truly special with beautiful hand made touches, vintage croquet sets and my favourite flowers, peonies! This lush fairytale was set on their family farm in regional NSW, amongst vast fields making it seem like we had stumbled across an oasis. A stunning day full of love, fun and friends!

Our wedding is featured in the gorgeous mag “Your Day” – Bride To Be’s annual magazine. Thanks again to our ace photographer, Adrian Tuazon. Don’t mind the idea of styling a wedding – anyone need help?! There is more wedding goodness here.

I was super lucky to be in Sydney last year when OUTPOST was on! The OUTPOST Project transformed the industrial spaces of Cockatoo Island and immersed visitors into an explosion of urban art. Local and international artists were part of the festival , including one my favourites Anthony Lister. The artwork included stencilling, paste-ups, sticker art, sculpture, t-shirts and billboards. There was even a collection of Banksy work on show. I just wonder what has happened to the art now that the festival is over?

La Macelleria is the new butcher in Bondi and will impress with its dark interior and tiled surrounds. The butchers fit into the European theme by sporting white coats and flat caps. I wonder if their moustaches are a prerequisite for working there?  This is definitely a cut above your average butcher with condiments and paninis on offer too! After a visit, you could almost cancel your trip to Italy.

White Rabbit Gallery in Sydney is a favourite of mine. With one of the largest collections of contemporary Chinese art, set in a converted former knitting factory, each visit amazes me. Even more astounding is that this is a private collection which is open to the public for free. How lucky are we!

Besides original mid-century Danish furniture Modern Times Pop – Up Shop has some beautiful finds from local designers. Here are my favourites:

It is open until December 31st. Come down and see for yourself! Trust me you are going to find it hard to leave empty handed.
